Open Dyslexic – a font designed to make reading easier

Dyslexia takes many forms but is generally characterised by a difficulty learning to read fluently and with accurate comprehension despite normal intelligence.If you struggle with dyslexia, at opendyslexic.org you’ll find details of a free, open source font you can download and use to make reading much easier. I am not a medical expert on the subject, but from the comments on this site and the Facebook page supporting it, these irregular characters that are heavy at the bottom can make recognising the patterns that make up words much easier for a great many people with the disorder. There is even an iOS keyboard and a theme for android devices that have been designed using the font.
