Last month saw the broadcast of the very first Digital Leaders TV show, hosted by me from home on Google Hangouts. It’s a business focused discussion show made in partnership with Digital Leaders and episode one tackled the ‘Internet of Things’ from the perspective of how it will impact business leaders in the digital sector. My guests were Nick Appleyard, Ewan Dalton and Martin Wright and they all tuned in through webcams for the live hangouts broadcast from 17:00 to 17:45 on what will hopefully be the second Tuesday of every month.
It was a unique experience doing a professional broadcast from home. Google Hangouts is so easy to use and doing it live means people can tweet in their questions and comments and be part of the show as it unfolds. We had a lively and fun chat and there was lots of interaction from viewers. Digital Leaders sent over a huge pop up banner for my background and I think it looks OK (I have sorted out some daylight gel for my light to hopefully fix the orange hue next time!). I definitely love the commute to this location too (is it OK to confess I was wearing slippers?).
I hope you enjoy the edited down 16 minute version embedded below. The full version can be watched on the show’s Youtube channel. This month we’ll be tackling the top of the ‘Digital Gender Gap’. Make a date to watch live on 11th November from 17:00 to 17:45 on the Youtube channel and I’ll post a link to the edited version each month on this website.
