I’m delighted to announce I’ve been booked to speak at HowTheLightGetsIn, the world’s largest philosophy and music festival. The first session I’ll be participating in is a panel discussion on May 29th:
The World After Tomorrow
William Gibson famously claimed that “the future’s here. It just isn’t evenly distributed.” Yet in cyberspace, where geographical boundaries collapse, India, China and Brazil can compete on an equal footing with the West. Can technology become a force for global equality, or is the future destined to remain unfair?
Vassili Christodoulou will host the session and on the panel with me will be editor of the world’s most widely read blog Cory Doctorow and technology guru Kenneth Cukier.
Later the same day I will be delivering a talk:
A Web of Evil?
Is security lost to cyberspace? BBC technology presenter Kate Russell puts the internet on trial.
