If you have some expert knowledge that would be useful to others Google wants to hear from you as it pulls together a database of professional ‘helpers’ for its new Hangouts venture, Google Helpouts. The site went live this week asking for experts to list their skills under Home & Garden; Computers & Electronics; Health & Counseling; Nutrition & Fitness; Fashion & Beauty; Art & Music; Cooking; and Education. Helpouts will be delivered in the form of a live video session through Google Hangouts, dealing with anything from bicycle repairs to baking or calculus to carpentry – and any payments from bookings will be processed through Google Wallet. Whether you’re a business or an individual, as long as you have the equipment necessary to deliver the Helpout (and of course the required, qualified skill set) you stand a chance of being included in this interesting new market-place database.
